Looking west at the pass over the mountains back to SD. Notice the clouds dissipating just after they cross over the ridge line. The uplift from the mountains wrings out of the moisture from these clouds, creating a "rain shadow" which makes the desert on the other side (east) of the mountains. Pretty cool ... although this photo doesn't do it justice.
