Up to a late start following a late night searching the desert for the Trona Pinnacles. In our travels we took one wrong turn through a desert OHV park and found ourselves in the midst of some type of budweiser-fueled Mad Max meets Close Encounters scene. There was a swarm of ATVs lighted with neon and LED strobes flying around like mosquitoes among the dunes in the dark desert night. It was more than a little creepy, but probably harmless... probably.
